Theo 4

Modern 1-bedroom apartment + swimming pool

Stay in Nafplio

Located on the edge of bustling Nafplio, the spotless Theo apartments overlook the town and the Palamidi Fortress. These 430 square foot ground floor apartments have a bedroom with a queen bed. Three of the apartments have round tables in an open-plan living room/kitchen area like this one. The Theo 4 is on the third floor, while the other two identical apartments Theo 2A and 2B are on the second floor. The couch in the living room converts to a double sofa bed for two persons. The TV does not receive US channels, but is a smart TV, so that you can stream your own content. The kitchen is fully equipped, but does not have a microwave. Adjacent to the living room is a private balcony with a view of the beautiful shared pool and of Nafplio. The bathroom has a bath/shower combination.

For an additional charge, a full Greek breakfast is available on the premises. The breakfast includes yogurt, fruit, cereals, homemade jams, and pastries.

The neighborhood has a couple of restaurants and a big grocery store. All are located within a 10-minute walk of the apartment. Covered parking is available for free. The lovely Agia Moni monastery is about a 20-minute walk from here or a 5-minute drive. The historic center of Nafplio is about a 40-minute walk or an 8-minute drive. The apartment building is on the road between Nafplio and the archaeological site of Epidaurus. Other major highways and roads are easily accessible from here.

Two bicycles are available (without helmets) at no charge. These should be reserved in advance if you'd like to use them. Just let us know.

Note that some of the pictures were taken using a wide-angle lens, making the rooms appear larger than they are.

Nafplio, Greece - Nafplio, Home of Theo 4

Nafplio, a seaside town with a population of 12,000, is located only 2 hours south of Athens on the Peloponnesian Peninsula. Many consider it Greece’s prettiest town. Nestled on a quiet bay, Nafplio makes a perfect base for exploring some of the most historic and scenic sections of Greece.

Nafplio itself has many restaurants and cafés, a wide variety of shops, several food stores including a convenient supermarket, an Internet café, and ATMs. It also has a prize-winning museum of Peloponnesian folk art and an archaeological museum. The Palamidi, a huge eighteenth-century fortress built by the Venetians, towers over the town and offers incredible views of the town, bay, and surroundings. Another fortress, a former prison, sits on an island in the bay just a few minutes by boat from Nafplio’s harbor.

Nearby daytrips from Nafplio include ancient ruins at Mycenae, Epidaurus, Tiryns, and Corinth. Longer excursions from Nafplio include Olympia, Mystras, Monemvasia, the island of Hydra, and even Athens.

Making Nafplio your home base creates a wonderful daily dilemma: to relax on a Nafplio beach or in a seaside café or to explore fascinating sites further afield.
