Tell us a little bit about your most recent Untour.
Our most recent Untour was a three week sampler to Paris, Rome and Florence. We saw many of the highlights in all three places but would have loved to stay three weeks in each location. We enjoy the Impressionists so Paris was a wonderful spot; we went to the D’Orsay, the L’Orangerie (site in French). The Colosseum was inspiring, along with Palentine Hill. Not knowing much about Florence before we went made it a different adventure. Between UnTours, the local contact and the tourist office, we managed to accomplish a significant amount of sightseeing.
Why did you choose to go there?
We chose to do the Sampler because we were afraid we would never be able to go back and wanted to fit in as much as possible in one trip.
How is taking an Untour different from other ways of traveling?
We like to have the ability to stand in front of a painting for as long as we want without keeping to a schedule. We like to see real neighborhoods and talk with local shopkeepers, etc.
