Shannon was a gift to me from my board, which saw better than I that I was drowning in work after Hal retired. Shannon was hired to be my amazing colleague, which she is indeed! A film editor by training, Shannon worked on several of Ken Burns’ film projects. You can see some of her handiwork through our lovely new website, which she designed.
How did you meet Hal? I remember seeing Hal riding his bike around Media. Everyone who lives in Media knows who Hal is—a legend in town.
What drew you to the Untours Foundation? I put a priority on doing work that has a bigger mission than solely “making money.” I love that Untours the travel company and the Untours Foundation bring together social issues, sustainable values and creative entrepreneurship.
What is most unique to you about the foundation? I love how eclectic it is, and how much fun it is! While we have values, we don’t have a lot of rules.

“Follow your passion. Stay true to yourself. Never follow someone else’s path unless you’re in the woods and you’re lost and you see a path. By all means, you should follow that.”
