This past spring Untourist Jackie Johnson spent two weeks exploring the gorgeous Irish countryside. With her sister Vicky and cousins, Jackie saw the best of Kenmare, Killarney, and drove the Ring of Kerry. They stayed in the central two-story townhouse, Packie’s Corner, in Kenmare, which served as a great home-base for all their exploring. Interested in your own Irish adventure? See all the possibilities here!
Here are some highlights from their fantastic journey, complete with their own captions.
Sisters (Jackie & Vicky) touring the Irish countryside.
Best fish and chips in Killarney. Prawns and chips were our favorite.
There’s Jackie crossing main street in Kenmare!
Three musicians over-looking Kenmare Bay.
We saw lots of sheep with pink rears.
Jackie trying to hike Cashelkeelty Stone Circle.
Our jaunty ride at Muckross and Killarney National Park. Robert, our driver, sang Molly Malone to us.
It snowed on our tour of the Ring of Kerry… it was very cold!
Not only did my sister have to remember to drive on the LEFT, but she had to remember not to drive into the water.
One-lane tunnels sure are daunting! But exciting!
Unfortunately we’re not immune to getting sick while traveling. Luckily our Untours host got us quickly to the doctor and here we are leaving happy!
Cousins Leah and Jackie use our new Irish night shirts, slippers & socks!
