Untourists of the Week…Jim and LaNell celebrate their anniversary in Paris

1. Tell us a little bit about your most recent Untour.

We spent 1 week in Vienna and 1 week in Paris. However, our most memorable was the month we stayed in Paris to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Truly outstanding trip

2. Why did you choose to go there?

Vienna was always a place we wanted to visit and Paris was our absolute place to go, having traveled there on 8 different occasions.

3. What is your favorite Untours memory?

Celebrating 50 years together in the most romantic city in the world.

4. How is taking an Untour different from other ways of travelling?

Frederic Magisson—where they stayed.  La Nell said, about it: ““ The apartment couldn’t have been a better place to stay for 4 weeks – close to transportation, shopping and a delightful neighborhood.  We liked it so much we returned at Christmas a year later as we had not spent Christmas in Europe before, and I heartily recommend this type of travel.”

It is absolutely worry free. We never have to worry if we need assistance in any way.

5. If you could describe an Untour in just three words, what would they be?

Truly memorable experiences.

6. Have you heard of our trailblazing Untours Foundation? What do you think of a company whose profits have gone to create jobs among vulnerable populations through loans to pioneering, green businesses?

I think it is an admirable project and wish you success in this endeavor.

Postscript: [Editor’s Note: We received this note from LaNell Bilbro,  9/1/13] “My husband, Jim Bilbro, passed away in April of this year. He and I have been devoted fans of Untours for several years and continue to extol your virtues to all who want to know. I plan to take my children next year on two separate Untours so they can experience the great and wonderful Untours that we have been talking about.”
