Happy clients on Untours Vacation Packages in Europe

Tell us a little bit about your most recent Untour and why you chose that particular destination?

Our last Untour experience took us to Atrani on the Amalfi Coast for two weeks and then for another two weeks to Locarno, Switzerland to enjoy the beautiful Ticino Region. Both areas suited our needs to for a combination of wonderful scenic views and historic venues.

Why did you choose to go there?

We love Italy and a previous excursion to Cinque Terre while staying in the Tuscany town of Calci through Untours, made us want to experience the Amalfi Coast.  Also, because we wanted to go to Milan andhad  tickets for an opera, we decided to spend two weeks in Locarno before traveling to Milan.  We were very glad we chose Atrani and not Amalfi as our base because in Atrani you really feel that you are living as a local without all the tourists.  Our Ruby apartmant gave us a spectacular view of the Mediterranean and was close enough for us to take a short bus ride or walk to Amalfi. In Lorcarno, Luigi, our host of the Bonalumi  apartment was a delight and we had many conversations with him about the area.  The apartment there had a small balcony with a view of Lake Maggiori and we spent many evenings watching the sunset and the activities on the lake winding down for the day.

What is your favorite Untours memory?

Although every Untour has its own great memories, tulip time in the Netherlands was unparallelled:  the Keukenhoff Gardens, Aalsmeer flower auction, tulip fields between Leiden and Amsterdam, the flower parade, the Kroeller-Mueller Art Gallery were our favorites.

How is taking an Untour different from other ways of traveling?

The number one  difference is the flexibility enabling you to time your stays at venues which fit your mood and interests.  We are spoiled by this way of traveling and really value the flexibity an Untour offers.  The contact persons provide excellent service and special insights to each area visited.  Neither having to adhere to a rigid travel schedule nor dealing with occasionally annoying travel companions is a plus.

If you could describe an Untour in just 3 words, what would they be?
