Itinerary

Day 1 (Friday): Marina Zeas (Piraeus) - Kea
2:00-3:00 pm embarkation from Marina Zea. Depart via Cape Sounion to Kea. Leisure time to explore Kea's tiny port, Korrisia after dinner. Departure in the early hours for Delos. Overnight at sea.
 
Day 2 (Saturday): Delos (anchorage) - Mykonos
Optional morning tour to the unique archaeological site of Delos, antiquity's most sacred island. On to the port of Tourlos in Mykonos, with a swim stop on the way. Free afternoon and evening to enjoy the island's cosmopolitan lifestyle. Overnight in Mykonos.
Day 3 (Sunday): Santorini
Noon arrival in Santorini (anchorage at Fira). Experience the stunning natural drama of the volcanic caldera. Optional tour to archaeological sites and typical villages with unique views over the Aegean Sea. Overnight sailing to Crete.
 
Day 4 (Monday): Rethymnon/Crete
Morning arrival at Crete's famous and lively port of Rethymnon. Optional tour to the ancient city of Knossos near Heraklion. Late departure for Kythira. Overnight at sea.
Day 5 (Tuesday): Kythira
Late morning swim stop and afternoon arrival to Kythira, a less known island gem now fast becoming a favourite among visitors to Greece. Evening at leisure to visit the picturesque main town of Chora and experience the subdued charms of this peaceful island. Overnight in Kythira.
 
Day 6 (Wednesday): Monemvassia - Nafplion
Early morning sailing to Monemvassia. Discover a remarkable medieval fortified town, with time at leisure to explore the uniquely preserved Byzantine and Venetian architecture and experience the beauty of the natural setting. Depart for Nafplion in the early afternoon, with a swim stop on the way. Evening arrival at Nafplion. The old quarter is charming, with narrow streets and characteristic period architecture. Also, impressive medieval fortifications can be seen in the port and crowning the hills above. Overnight in Nafplion.
Day 7 (Thursday): Nafplion - Hydra or Spetses
Optional tour to Mycenae, the powerful walled palace of Agamemnon, the Homeric Achaean king. Early afternoon departure for the islands of Hydra or Spetses. Time at leisure to explore this picturesque port town. Overnight in port.
 
Day 8 (Friday): Marina Zeas (Athens)
Departure in the early hours for Marina Zea, Piraeus. Arrival and disembarkation after breakfast.

Introducing the latest addition to the Variety Cruises fleet, the Harmony V, a modern vessel with a sleek high-tech look very similar to the private yachts to be found in the famous ports of the world. The 56 meter long/8.4 meter wide Mega-Yacht was launched in June 2009 and complies with Eurosolas safety regulations while its powerful engines, generators, and state of the art twin stabilizers will allow for safe and comfortable cruising.

A spacious lounge, and an American Bar leads into a dining area decorated with warm colors. Both areas offer large windows providing for the most beautiful views of all destinations the ship cruises to. The 200 m2 sundeck offers a shaded outdoor area for all day dining and a bar as well as sun chairs and loungers. The swimming platform on Harmony V stern will allow for easy access to the ship and for a wide range of sea related activities.

The External Dining Area where meals are served "al fresco", is located on the Sun Deck being the ideal place to bask under the sun, read a good book or just gaze at the scenery.

Excursions for Classical Greece

Shore excursions are sold on board in Euros. USD prices shown below are based on an exchange rate of 1.35 just to give an idea of the dollar price.

There can be changes in the excursions because of site restorations, weather or seasonal conditions. The tours require a minimum of 12-14 participants per excursion. Most sites and museums are closed on Mondays, then alternative visits shall be offered. Due to slippery sites we recommend comfortable shoes, hats and a bottle of water against the heat.
DELOS
Per Person € 47 ($63.45 USD)

A guided walk through the archaeological site. (3 hours including the site entrance fee, transportation and a professional guide).

In antiquity, Delos was considered to be the spiritual and commercial centre of the Aegean. Disembark by tender and gather at a large square for a tour introduction before proceeding with your expert local guide on a unique walk through the original streets of the site's best preserved quarters. There you will see Hellenistic houses with beautiful mosaics in amazingly good condition, an ancient theatre and the island's largest cistern. Further along you will come to the Sanctuary, where you can see the ruins of a temple dedicated to Apollo – Delos being Apollo's mythological birthplace - while over the Sacred Way you will see the famous five 7th century B.C. marble lions, guardians of the Sacred Lake. On to the Roman quarter, where you will find ancient statues dedicated to Dionysus and finally, visit the museum with its many interesting exhibits.
 
SANTORINI

Visit the Akrotiri Museum in Fira and the villages of Pyrgos and Oia. (Duration: about 4 hours, including one-way cable-car, bus, local professional guide and entrance fees).

Disembark by tender and board the cable car to reach the island's capital Fira for the short walk of the Capital and a visit at the Prehistoric Museum with its fascinating collection, models and wall paintings from Akrotiri excavations. Board the bus for a pleasant drive through the village of Pyrgos to the northern coast arriving at Oia to visit the most picturesque village of Santorini with its beautiful views over the Caldera. Tour the village with your local expert guide, have some free time and re-board the bus for your return drive to Fira.
CRETE

A guided tour to the Minoan Palace of Knossos and Heraklion city including coach, a professional Cretan guide and entrance fees. (Duration: approx: 5 hours).

After driving on Crete's Highway along the Northern Coast and areas where Cretan wines grow we arrive at the Prehistoric (2000BC) Minoan Palace of Knossos to visit the famous archaeological site located in a unique quaint scenery. Proceed to Heraklion city for a short walk leading to the central square with free time to stroll around and return to Rethymnon after about one hours drive.
 
NAUPLION
Per Person € 54 ($72.90 USD)

A guided tour to the famous prehistoric site of Mycenae, including coach, a local guide and entrance fees (Duration about 3 hours).

Drive through the colorful city of Nafplion and the beautiful countryside of Argolis towards Mycenae. The importance of the city, which Homer calls "Rich in gold", begins in 1650 B.C and ceases around 1100 B.C with the fall of the civilization to which it gives name. Visit the remains of the glorious city including the Lion's Gate, the Palace and the tomb of Agamemnon.

Mycenae in legend was the royal seat of the ill-fated House of Atreus, and from Mycenae Agamemnon, "King of Men”, went off as the leader of the Achaean expedition to war against Troy.
