Welcome to the new Untours Eurozine! Now you can look forward to a more user-friendly
and aesthetically pleasing online newsletter while still enjoying the unique articles
and helpful travel tips you have come to look forward to each month.
In this issue, we introduce you to our new website. Now available at www.untours.com, it represents a big leap forward for those of you seeking to "window-shop" through
all the properties and regions that Untours offers. For the first time, you
can check accommodation availabilities online as well as compare and contrast which
spot might suit you best. By entering specific time periods and the number of
people traveling, you can see detailed information about each of our accommodations
including photos, amenities, and village and landlord information.
The screen shots and their accompanying descriptions below will give you a brief
tutorial on how to navigate through our pages. Once you're done with the newsletter,
why not check things out for yourself? Visit our new website at www.untours.com.

The Homepage (pictured right) of our new website welcomes the first-time viewer and offers fast,
convenient information for the experienced Untourist.
Click on the map showing all of the current Untour destinations, or on the text
links on the far right, to go directly to the Untour region of your choice. In
the case of Untours where we have several destinations within a country, an interim page will help you choose between programs. For example, when you click on Tuscany, you will go to a page that briefly
describes the three countryside Italian Untours: Tuscany North, Tuscany South
and Umbria. This way, if you are not sure which is right for you, you get a brief
summary to help you choose. Experienced Untourists, not needing that help, can
get to any Untour directly using the text links on the far right.
Don't forget to check our Featured Properties on the left-hand side: here you will find some of our best apartments! Even
those of you who have gone with us many times, may find some "undiscovered gems"
that suit you perfectly in this section. |
Everything you ever wanted to know about each Untour region is accessed from

The Landlord Page

An Untour strives to help you live in a country, instead of just travelling through it. Use our website as a kind
encyclopedia of locations, browsing through the various villages, host families
and neighborhoods to find the best home-away-from-home for you.
Pictured here are two examples from the Swiss Heartland region that give you
a sense of the depth of information on the site.
The first screenshot, (top, far right) is a sample landlord/host page, which
you reach from the Property Description Detail pages. At the top right, you see
Albert Greutert, host to three of our best properties, offering one of his homemade
dishes out his kitchen window. The friendliness and enthusiasm of the Greutert
family (along with the top-notch creature comforts of their apartments) make these
properties some of our most highly-sought-after. While we work hard to make sure
that each and every one of our apartments are up-to-snuff in the creature comforts
department, we also love the idea that many of our guests choose their accommodation
based on their love of people, and the friendships that often spring up between
guests and hosts. So this page is where we tell you about any on-site hosts that
may be a part of your visit.
On the second screen shot, you see the village page for one of our favorite Swiss
towns: Meiringen. Many people choose to take Untours (as opposed to "If-this-is-Tuesday-it-must-be-Belgium
kind of tours) because they love kicking back and enjoying the spot they are in, immersing
themselves in the every day rhythms of one neighborhood, town or village. The
Village/Neighborhood page, with lots of pictures and a detailed description, helps
you choose the spot you would most like to linger in as your adopted hometown.
This snapshot of the new Untours website is just the tip of the iceberg! With
