Hike with experienced guide starting from Spello on 2.5 hour loop in the woods and fields of Mt. Subasio, pass the small church of St. Lucy, the tiny hamlet of Monticelli, the springs of Sermattei up to the village of Gabbiano Vecchio. The last bit of climb (1.30 hrs) leads through an abandoned stone quarry to Poggio Calvarone, the highest point of the walk. Great views from here onto the Umbrian Vale. Moderate difficulty, walk cannot be shortened. Cost: €25 per person, minimum 4 people; €15 for each extra person (total cost divided equally among participants).
