Learn to prepare a typical Umbrian three-course meal, from the selection of prime ingredients to preparation, use of different cooking methods and verification of the results at a convivial meal with the hosts. The lesson is held in an authentic farm kitchen complete with open fireplace for charcoal grilling and marble-top table. Our hosts welcome you to their farm near Spoleto that has been in the same family for generations, and they offer you their long experience in cooking foods that can easily be prepared once you have returned home. An example menu is gnocchi, chicken and capsicum casserole, and individual jam tarts. When possible the farm's organic produce such as spelt, beans, chick peas, raspberries and blackberries picked straight off the vines is used. If you prefer, you can learn how to make pizza, focaccia and bread. Each guest is supplied with the recipes in English and a notebook as a memento.
