The France - Provence Untour
Here's what our customers say about how much there is to do in Provence:
"We appreciated the friendly feeling we received from the French people...the lovely locations for out of the way restaurants and the great, interesting food served....and, of course, all the new wines we tried." Shirley Reed, 2009"I was there 17 years ago with Untours and enjoyed enough to return.Max is just as nice now as then and his wife very gracious to us. I feel my life has been enriched due to the many trips I have taken with Untours." Shirley Reed, 2009
"All in all, this trip was a wonderful experience. I was touched by the French people. Several times, when the local people saw we were confused, or didn't know where to go, they went out of their way to direct us to points of interest. They always say how rude French people are, we did not find that to be the case at all. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this lovely town and country for two weeks!" Arlene Larson, 2008
"We like the independence with the knowledge we have local backup if necessary. The Provence region is wonderful so we loved driving to the many beautiful villages and sampling lovely wines and amazing food." Allen Webb, 2008
"Probably the three highlights were as follows: The Patrimoine (Heritage weekend in Pernes-Les Fontaines) We spent a total of over 10 hours there on Saturday and Sunday of our third and last weekend. Second: Cathedrale d'Images just outside of Les Baux de Provence. This year's theme was Van Gogh. It was a must-see. Third: Being able to walk to the village to hang out in the cafe, talk to French people and ex-pats, and drink in the ambiance." Loraine Kirkland, 2008
"I loved Provence--the people, the food, the wine, the flowers, water, and lavender. Everything was wonderful." Robert & Gail Davis, Provence, 2006
"Was it the beautiful little houses so tastefully decorated and ideally located within a five-minute walk from the medieval town of Pernes-les-Fonatines, or was it our lovely hostess Estelle and her charming daughter Melanie who spoke the King's English? Maybe it was the delightful little patio where we spent so many quiet hours enjoying the garden and the birds. Or perhaps it was the dish of ice cream at the café in St. Didier or the Sunday dinner at Bar de Casino in Pernes. Maybe the 'best' all boils down to our having the sense to take another Untour." Ruth Atkinson, Provence, 2006
"We loved the freedom to make our own itinerary." William S. Brettmann, Provence, 2006
"The best thing about Provence?...how about being situated on a lovely property in a spacious apartment surrounded by gorgeous scenery." Jack & Fran Ellena, Provence, 2006
"As always, Provence was splendid." Mary Ellen Guptill, Provence, 2006
