Here's what our customers say about how much there is to do in The Swiss Heartland:

"We now have four more people who fell in love with Switzerland: our daughter & her family. And Untour helped make it that good an experience." Jay Tichenor, 2009

"Untours is the only way to travel to Europe!" Carol Seitz, 2009

"The Swiss Pass (1st Class), the beauty of Switzerland, our hosts in Elisabeth, the helpfulness of your staff." Edmond Gray, 2009

"The scenery, our hosts, the lakeboat rides; taking the bus from Meiringen to Schwartzwaldalp to Grosse Scheidegg to Grindelwald."
Larry Schmid, 2009

"We love: Switzerland, the trains, our home away from home, Sachseln, the Britschgis, and the independence of planning our daily adventures."
Carol Seitz, 2009

"We loved our entire experience. Everything Untours did worked well. We were awed by Switzerland, very happy with our commuter friendly town of Meiringen, pleased with our apartment and have only good memories." Lee & Carol Talbot 2008

"Thanks for helping us coordinate a multigenerational Untour for three families! The Heartland was perfect for this--activities to interest all 10 of us (ages 7 to 68), small-town atmosphere where the younger ones could visit each other and the playgrounds without constant supervision, new and different experiences for everybody." Phil & Jane King 2008

"This was my first European experience and it was wonderful. I feel like I just scratched the surface of all that I could see and do in the Heartland, so I'd love to go again, and believe that the "Untour way" is the only way to go." Ronda Fiello, 2005

"I've never been to Europe and this experience was so positive. The Swiss people are so kind and helpful in making us feel welcome." Kim Rabago 2005

"We thank you for your dynamic and imaginitive process for receiving and guiding and allowing us the freedom to travel on our own or with others." Richard & Kay Mobayed, 2005

"We went on this Untour with two other couples. We went to grammar and high school together. It was a time of fun and laughter and sharing memories. Because of the great transporation system we were able to see so many hikes, mountains, waterfalls and cities." Phil & Marian Boyle 2005

"This was our 8th Untour in Switzerland and the third time we've brought grandchildren with us. There is so much to see, to do, and to learn, we find it tremendous fun and a great bonding experience. We especially enjoy the traditional festivals like the "yodelerfests" or Magisalp cheese festival. The kids loved the train rides, the funicular, cable cars, cog rail trains, along with our gracious Swiss host family and beautiful Swiss scenery." June Wang, 2005

"Being on Untours made me feel more like a real part of Switzerland, mor intimate than the conventional tours. We could go at our own pace, choose our own adventures. The written material sent ahead was very helpful." Gertrude Mayne, 2005

"After an absence of 12 years, the Swiss Heartland and the Swiss people made me feel as if I were coming home again. Lee and I enjoyed the other Untourists and found the people who choose Idyll to be unusually fine and interesting people. Untours get into your blood! Thank you!" Susan Clemens '04

"The village of Sachseln is charming and I'd go back there in a heartbeat." Susan Abbott, 2007

"You understand what it's like not to visit there, but to live there!" Kenneth Saji, 2008

"It was a great way to see Switzerland comfortably. I'm sure we will do this again." George Magee, 2008

"Live like a local, and enjoy the less hurried life in your village." Caren Cole, 2009
