What does the Rome-Umbria Sampler include?

• One week in a personally selected, centrally located apartment in Rome, plus one week in a farmhouse apartment in Umbria, with views of the olive groves and rolling countryside.
• Suggestions for booking your international flight from the U.S. to Rome. Or we can purchase tickets on your behalf.
• Transfer assistance upon arrival from the airport (or rail station) to your new Untours home in Rome.
• A transit pass good for unlimited rides on Rome's extensive system of buses, trams and metro.
• An orientation with our on-site representative. This will include information on the public transit system, suggestions and practical advice for sightseeing, tours and reservations.
• An Untours sponsored group activity such as a tour of an historical site.
• Our driver will take you to the Rome airport where you will pick up a 7-day Avis rental car, with unlimited mileage, and you will self-escort to your Umbria apartment, driving directions provided.
• An orientation with our local staff person Caterina, who offers detailed itinerary suggestions, advice on driving and parking, and a listing of local events going on throughout your stay.
• An Untours sponsored gathering, like a tour of a local, organic farmstead, including a home cooked meal with the owners.
• Car drop off and airport transfer is done by self-escort, driving directions to Rome airport are provided.
• Our own On-Site Guides for each region, researched and written by Untours staff, full of the best restaurants and other suggestions, for Rome and Umbria and a comprehensive driving map for Umbria.
• A stash of groceries upon your arrival in each apartment, so you don't need to dash off to the grocery store right away.

What about adding on a third week?

Three of our Samplers last for three weeks, one week in each city: Prague-Budapest-Vienna, Rome-Florence-Venice or Venice-Florence-Rome. But you can add an extra week on to any of our standard 2-week Samplers (or even to a classic Untour if a Sampler is not available)! All of our Untours are now available as one-week add-ons. Some date restrictions apply with off-season Greece and Holland Untours.
