Last week, I shared some of our clients’ feedback with you, in regards to their top restaurant recommendations in Budapest. Since I’ve gotten some good feedback on those suggestions, I’d like to share with you some of the restaurant recommendations we’ve received from 2011’s Prague Untourists. Bon appรฉtit! Or, as they say in Prague, “dobrou chut!

  • Gitanes, offers Dalmatian and Montenegrian fare and is located near the American Embassy
  • Sarah Bernhardt restaurant, serves French and traditional Czech cuisine from its location in Hotel Paris, across from Obecni dum (the Municipal House)
  • Nebozizek restaurant, has great food and even better views of Prague from its perch on Petrin Hill (here’s its TripAdvisor review)
  • Cafรฉ Savoy, a 19th-century cafรฉ located near Prague Castle with a wide-ranging European menu

If the local fare has you missing some “back home” food, here are a couple places to give a shot…

  • Pizzeria Grosseto, a local pizza chain (don’t let that word scare you!) that has Tuscan roots and offers a fuller menu than just pizza
  • Cantina, a fantastic Mexican restaurant in the Mala Strana section of the city

Sound like too much to eat? Ronnie Kahn, a 5-time Untourist, has this suggestion to burn those calories: “Prage is a wonderful ‘walking’ city. So, walk, get lost and discover ‘new’ neighborhoods.”
