Atrani, Italy - Amalfi Coast, Home of Jewel J
Atrani is Italy’s smallest municipality. But, what it lacks in size it makes up for in charm and authenticity. Its main piazza holds several cafes, a restaurant and direct access onto its small beach. Explore its step-lined streets and alleyways or visit one of its two churches. Feel like a true resident of the Amalfi coast in this small village as you sip your daily cappuccino with the locals.
Because of its position, Atrani offers some of the most dramatic views along the Amalfi Coast. And it is a short stroll to the town of Amalfi, with its lovely piazza, outdoors cafes, historic churches and lovely beaches.
Atrani is a great home base for hopping all along the coast. Buses keep regular schedules and make day trips to places like Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii very easy. An easy 1 kilometer walk or bus ride to Amalfi will give you access to the ferries as well.
Customer comments about Jewel J, Atrani, Italy - Amalfi Coast
"LOVED the view...gorgeous...very clean. From the elevator there were 54 steps up so not everyone would be able to handle the stairs. We thought it was well worth it...fabulous!" Cindy Gourly
"The apartment was spotless and well furnished both in furniture and supplies. The view was SPECTACULAR ---- seemed like a movie setting!!!! William Deremer
"This was the finest Apt.,loacation and view of any Untour we have been on!!! Susan Averill
"The general beauty of the region, the excellent food, the convenience and close proximity of everything, the ability to catch a bus at our front door and ride almost anywhere on the coast. The Ristorante le Arcate in Atrani just beneath the roadway under the arches has excellent food at reasonable prices in a pleasant setting.' NO NAME
"It was a spectacular apartment. The views of the sea and coastline from all rooms, but especially from the terrace, were nothing short of magnificent. It was exceptionally quiet and private and suited us perfectly. It was quite a challenge walking to Amalfi along the coast road with all the traffic, but after the first couple of times you realize that it's perfectly safe and lots of other people do it. And there's always the bus if you prefer. The steps in Atrani are also a challenge but that's part of its charm. You do, however, need to be in reasonably good physical shape. The apartment owners were very helpful and brought us another Bialetti when we asked and answered our questions. We didn't have any need for the a/c as it cooled off quite adequately at night but I'm sure it worked fine if needed. Everything was so new and modern and very tastefully furnished." Diana Elkin
"We could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. The apartment was beyond expectations. The terrace was large with a spectacular view." Margaret Smith
"Very nice, clean attractive apt. Absolutely magnificent view. Nice variety of welcome supplies made it easier to get acclimated before going shopping. " Nancy Maddox
