Sunday, Day 1 : Vandenesse, 45 minutes drive West of DIJON
Guests are met at the designated meeting point and transferred by air conditioned minibus to the barge. A warm welcome aboard, from the captain and crew, with a champagne welcome, the perfect start to a unique and
memorable stay in Burgundy. Your first candlelit dinner will mark your introduction to regional specialties

Monday, Day 2 : Vandenesse to Pont d'Ouche
This morning is a wonderful opportunity for you to enjoy the countryside as the barge glides along the canal. While you enjoy breakfast, the ship leaves the port of Vandenesse and begin to pass through the first locks. Arriving in the village of Crugey at midday, the chef will enchant you with a typical Burgundy menu. After lunch the barge continues the voyage to the tempo of the canal locks to Pont d'Ouche. When your hotel barge is moored, you will be drive to the famous wine town of Beaune, here to visit the Hospices de Beaune, built in 1443, and for you stroll along cobbled streets lined with boutiques, antique shops and wine shops. The return to the barge takes you through the "Hautes Côtes" vineyards.

Tuesday, Day 3 : Pont d'Ouche to Gissey sur Ouche
Today, the barge cruise will take you into the magnificent Valley of the
Ouche, a journey back in time passing through unique landscapes as the
canal twists through the narrow valley. You will cruise through the villages of
La Buissière sur Ouche and Saint Victor to Gissey sur Ouche. We moor here
for the night, in a hidden romantic spot, beside the river Ouche and a Gallo
Roman bridge, one of the most photographed and painted views. This
afternoon, you will visit the world famous wine village Aloxe Corton,
a unique site of the Corton hillside, famous for its red and white Grands
Crus, here you will visit the only Château amongst the Grands Crus of the
Côte de Beaune for a private wine tasting in cellars dating back to the XVth
century afterwards returning to the barge.

Wednesday, Day 4 : Gissey sur Ouche to Fleurey sur Ouche
Today, morning cruise through the charming villages of Saint Marie sur Ouche
and Pont de Pany. The barge heads on to the village of Fleurey sur Ouche
and once moored, there are possibilities to discover more about the region,
from Gallo-Roman ruins to feudal castles with dramatic histories. The
afternoon a visit of the the famous historical monument Clos de Vougeot,
originally a wine farm, built in the 12th century by monks, afterwards a
private wine tasting at Gevrey Chambertin.

Thursday, Day 5 : Fleurey sur Ouche to Plombières les Dijon
On today's journey the barge will follow the canal route to Plombières les
Dijon, the afternoon visit is a drive through the finest vine yards of Burgundy,
wine tasting Château de Marsannay and visit of a
cheese maker, the Fromagerie Gaugry promotes one of the most
flavoursome Burgundian cheeses thanks to their perfectly mastered knowhow.

Friday, Day 6 : Plombières les Dijon to Dijon
Morning venture into DIJON to walk around the splendous of DIJON, the
fresh morning market, also a visit to the ancient palace of the powerful Dukes
of Burgundy, the 12thC Notre Dame church, and the medieval cobbeled
streets of Rue de la Chouette, after drive back for lunch on board and then a
lazy afternoon final cruise, cruising past the lake of DIJON, "Lac Kir", late
afternoon Wine&Water will then moor up in the splendid port of Dijon.
Cocktails, before the Farewell Gala.

Saturday, Day 7: Dijon
After breakfast, the ship disembarks and transfers to the designated drop off point.
On alternate weeks the cruise is in the reverse direction.

You are driven in a comfortable 8 seater air-conditioned minivan driving through these world-famous villages such as Meursault, Santenay, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Savigny-Les-Beaune, Nuits St Georges, Vosne Romanée, Gevrey Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, the beautiful Burgundy countryside and stunning centuries old villages.
There is opportunity to buy wine, from the Domaine’s he visits, often unavailable outside France and at
Discovery tour of the “Clos de Vougeot” – a symbolic spot here in Burgundy – a 12th Century wine-making
barn constructed by monks and now surrounded by its famous vineyards.
After visit to a small family Château, the only Château amongst the Grands Crus of the Côte de Beaune for a
wine tasting in cellars dating back to the XVth century in one of the most famous villages in the Côte d’Or.
Lunch (extra) is on the outskirts of Beaune in a famous pretty wine village in the Côte de Beaune where you will be able to sample the best garlic snails in Burgundy (there is a choice of other entrées) and definitely the best Coq au Vin, along with a wine tasting.
After lunch, you can choose and depending on time:
- Visit of a wine grower in the Côte de Nuits
- Visit of a couple of famous wine villages
- Visit to the famous wine town of Beaune where you are free to visit for a couple of hours after drive back to the boat
