Centrally located with excellent transport links, this cozy apartment is perfect for a couple who wishes to explore London. It’s a stone’s throw from Kensington Gardens and Kensington Palace, and the famous Portobello Road market is just a 15-20 minute walk. The property is decorated in a fun modern style with splashes of color, and it has a warm, homey feel. It’s on the 5th floor on a private and secure block and has an elevator. It’s also surprisingly quiet as it’s situated at the back of the building away from the main road.
The living area is a bright, modern space with sleek contemporary cabinets, large flat-screen TV with digital channels, Blu-ray player (feel free to watch any of the movies provided), sound system, and iPod dock for your own music. Wi-Fi is also provided. There is a large three-seater sofabed and two chairs. There is plenty of natural light giving the room a warm feel.
A fold-away table and four modern chairs cleverly convert the hallway into a cosy dining area between the kitchen and living area.
The kitchen is a light and modern with doors leading out onto a small balcony/fire escape overlooking the neighboring houses. With its range of gadgets and sleek contemporary appliances, you will find everything you need including dishwasher, washing machine (you can dry your clothes in the airing cupboard), microwave, and toaster.
The bedroom has been tastefully decorated with soothing green walls and cabinets, flat-screen TV, work desk and chair, and lots of storage space. The room also boasts a huge California King-size bed which has a flotation mattress for the ultimate indulgent sleep!
The bathroom also boasts a range of interesting features including an original 1930s tub with shower, original 1930s floor and wall tiles, modern rain shower and a touch-sensitive blue-lit mirror.
Not only does this apartment have a home-away-from-home feel, but it offers a fantastic location, minutes from Queensway (Central line) and Bayswater (Circle & District line) underground stations. Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, and Kensington Palace are a mere five minute walk from your doorstep. Notting Hill and High Street Kensington will take you approximately 10-15 minutes on foot or you could hop onto one of the many buses/tubes. There's a plethora of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and shops located on the otherwise unattractive Queensway street so you needn’t go far should you wish to pop out for a bite to eat.

Bayswater, UK - London, Home of Queensway
Bayswater is an area of Central London just north of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. It is a very practical and convenient neighborhood for seeing Central London. It has a number of convenient tube stations and is close to Paddington Station for journeys outside of London.
The neighborhood has a bustling, dynamic feel to it. Tourists rub shoulders with Londoners with diverse backgrounds. The Greek, Arab, and Brazilian communities are particularly well represented, resulting in a plethora of restaurant options. Nearby Kensington Gardens provides a welcome sanctuary of green in the midst of a busy city.
Sights within easy walking distance include Kensington Palace, the Princess Diana Memorial, the Serpentine Gallery, Notting Hill and its Portobello Road Market, and Speaker’s Corner in Hyde Park.

"The apartment was comfortable and quiet. The location between the tube stations was very convenient and we enjoyed the local amenities just outside our door. While the furniture wasn't plush and luxurious, it was comfortable enough. Our hosts were both pleasant and helpful and always offering helpful tips and suggestions."
"Our only complaint is that the apartment is in need of a deep cleaning. Also, the internet signal is very weak. Beyond that, the experience was fantastic! "Super apartment, just as described. Quiet. Mattress most comfortable ever, especially for one that is not your own! The big negative was the height of the bathtub, a big step to get in, more precariously out, with no grab bar. Immediate street not so nice (plenty of convenience grocery shops, though), but turn the corner and it's wonderful. Important---several tube and bus lines a few steps away. A huge plus."
"Queensway was an excellent location, two underground stations mere yards away. The apt was quiet even though the street was always busy. The neighborhood was not typical, it was a busy international shopping street. Lots of choices, Indian, Chinese, Italian, Persian etc. There were a few English pubs a couple of blocks away. There were small supermarkets in the area as well."
“There was a heat wave at the time, so the apartment was a little hot. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was helpful. The place was quiet as advertised. The flat had a waterbed, but it was surprisingly comfortable. The clothes drying rack/closet worked well.”
