The spacious ground-floor Monnard apartment has received many modern updates in recent renovations. It can accommodate 4 adults or a family of five, with a crib for a child. There is a kitchen, living room, dining room, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom with a shower stall. The apartment has nice wood and tile floors throughout. Three steps (with handrail) lead to the 2 bedrooms and modern bathroom.
Great features are the private covered balcony and the garden-sitting area for dining, relaxing or taking in the beauty.
The rental is located in a typical Swiss neighborhood, an 8-10-minute uphill walk from the bus stop, boat dock, restaurants, grocery store, bakery, bank/ATM and tourist office of Hilterfingen. It’s a 15-minute bus ride to Thun, with buses running every fifteen minutes from 5:00 a.m. until after midnight. Passenger ships between Interlaken and Thun stop at Hilterfingen almost hourly. Rail connections from Thun are superb, making most of Switzerland accessible as a day trip.
The village of Hilterfingen is located on the sunny side of Lake Thun. The central location provides many opportunities for trips into the city of Thun and the Bernese Oberland. All attractions are easily accessible by good public transport (bus, train, boat).

The picturesque village of Hilterfingen is located in a sumptuous green park landscape in the immediate vicinity of the city of Thun. It has numerous overlooks that offer stunning vistas, with benches that invite you to linger and enjoy glorious views of the lake and the distant Swiss Alps. Hilterfingen is one of the centers of the Lake Thun Sailing School. Its landmark is Huneggpark with the romantic neo-renaissance castle Schloss Hunegg, which houses a fine art nouveau museum.
Hilterfingen is only a 10-minute bus ride from Thun and a 40- to 60-minute bus ride to Interlaken.
