The Firth View apartments are located in the tranquil seaside village of Ardesier, less than 30 minutes from Inverness. Facing the Bay of Moray or Moray Firth, all of the apartments have sea views. The view constantly changes with the weather and the tide. Dolphins frequent the bay and are sometimes visible from shore. The main highway is just a few minutes away, providing excellent access to Northern Scotland’s best sights.
The three one-bedroom apartments (virtually identical in layout) consist of an open plan living room, dining room, and well-equipped kitchen with coffee maker and microwave. They include a comfortable sitting area, a small balcony or patio, and a bedroom with a queen bed. The bathroom has a combination tub/shower. Each apartment has a washing machine and dryer.
While the apartments’ layouts are very similar, there are a few differences:
#7 is on the ground floor and has a patio. The bathroom has grab bars and a bath board and can be suitable for some wheelchair users. Views are not as good as apartments on the upper floors.
#8 is on the second floor (no elevator) and has a balcony with very nice views.
#9 is on the third floor (no elevator) and has a balcony with the best views. The bathroom is slightly smaller than the others. The ceiling has some sloping eaves, so we do not recommend it for Untourists over 6 feet tall.
Wi-Fi and TVs are available in each apartment. For an alternative to electronic entertainment, the apartments face west for the occasional beautiful sunset.
The quaint village of Ardersier has a grocery store, a pharmacy, and two good pubs. Fort George, a significant historic site, is less than 2 miles away and can be reached via a shoreline walking path.

Ardersier, UK - Scottish Highlands, Home of Firth View 1 Bedroom A
Ardersier is a small village on the Moray Firth with a rich history. The nearby Fort George was built in the 18th century following the bloody Jacobite wars. Ardersier was created as another fishing village called Blacktown was relocated to the present site of Ardersier. It was the closest town to the fort, so the local pubs thrived with the military business. Things are quieter today, but the waterfront town’s shoreline is known for its pleasant views and the occasional dolphin sighting.
Amenities include a grocery store, a pharmacy, and two good pubs. A shoreline trail connects the village with Fort George. Inverness is less than 30 minutes away and the resort of Nairn with its world-class golf courses and pleasant beaches is less than a 15 minute drive. The Inverness Airport is about five minutes drive from Ardersier.
There are regular buses to and from Inverness that take about 40 minute each way. Buses to Nairn take less than 30 minutes.
Customer comments about Firth View 1 Bedroom A, Ardersier, UK - Scottish Highlands
"The views of the firth. The local amenities. The shower was nice and the overall apartment was a nice retreat to return to at the end of our day exploring Scotland. The owners were amazing, friendly and great people!" Joshua and Erin Gallimore
"Clean, spacious, and bright. The décor was very pleasing with a blue sea theme and spots of color like the bright pink lilies in the living room. Appliances were clean, in good working condition and served all our needs. The view from the balcony was idyllic, and being located next to the path along the firth allowed us a regular long walk. Paul was an effusive host, ready to attend to our every need and gave useful advice on places to see. On our walks and at meals, mostly at the 2 fabulous restaurants in Ardersier, we met and had long conversations with residents." Pamela Akiri & Bernard Sherman (stayed in apt #9)
