1. Tell us a little bit about your most recent Untour.

In 2009, I went to Switzerland with my daughter and son-in-law. We stayed in Reuti with Hans and Behtli. I’ve stayed with them at least five times. From there we could get to most anywhere in Switzerland. And the view from the apartment is fantastic.

Williβ€”where they stayed

2. Why did you choose to go there?

My husband’s mother came from Switzerland and our first trip there was with her. There are still some relatives over there. We fell in love with the country and kept going back. After the first few trips, we found UnTours and always traveled with them after that.

3. What is your favorite UnTours memory?

We have so may memories its hard to say which is the best: hiking in the mountains in June and seeing all the wild flowers; taking the three pass bus tour; visiting the cheese maker up on Magisalp; listening to the alpenhorns at a festival; happening by chance to go into a small country church to find a wedding going onβ€”the music was a yodeling mass. Beautiful!

4. How is taking an Untour different from other ways of travelling?

We like being on our own schedule without a structured plan. But still there were people available if we had questions and planned tours if we wished to go on them.

5. If you could describe an Untour in just three words, what would they be?

Relaxed. Exciting. Memorable.
