1. Tell us a little bit about your most recent Untour.
The Amalfi Coast October 2012.
2. Why did you choose to go there?
We love, love, love Italy!!! We had gone to Tuscany on an earlier Untour adventure a few years before & had visited Venice, Rome, & Florence. So, we had heard how beautiful the Amalfi coast is & wanted to see that part of Italy! We were not disappointed!
3. What is your favorite UnTours memory?
The church bells ringing, especially on Sunday morning!! I just stood on the balcony of our apartment & imagined life in Amalfi, present day & medieval. Our centrally located apartment (Rotunda) was on the plaza overlooking all the Amalfi action & the beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea.
4. How is taking an Untour different from other ways of travelling?

You are independent to do tours, shopping, all on your own; but, have the security of someone to call, or a personal contact right in the village. On most UnTours you have a car. However, on the Amalfi Coast, we used public transportation. At first, this seemed a challenge; but many people there spoke English & were very helpful in getting us where we needed to go. The pre-planned itineraries helped us organize our days. We had many wonderful day trips, including a shopping trip to Sorrento for my husband’s new leather jacket…a beloved souvenir & special memory for him!
5. If you could describe an Untour in just three words, what would they be?
Touring like locals!!!
