Terms & Conditions

All payments must be by credit card or checks in U.S. dollars. Foreign checks or money orders drawn on banks which do not have a U.S. branch are subject to a $10 per check surcharge. For UnTourists residing outside of the U.S., a postage surcharge of $25 will apply.

UnTours Payments

Payments

  • Deposits: $400 per person for each UnTour.
  • Final Payment: Remaining balance is due 70 days before departure for all travelers.
  • Changes within 45 days may be subject to fees.

Cancellation Fees

The following will be forfeited, based on the timing of your cancellation.

  • If UnTours is notified 71+ days prior to UnTour start date:
    You will lose $250 of each of your $400 deposits.
  • If UnTours is notified 70-35 days prior to UnTour start date:
    You will lose 25% of the UnTour fee, plus $250 per person per UnTour, and cancellation fees for any transportation passes or rail tickets.
  • If UnTours is notified 34-3 days prior to UnTour start date:
    You will lose 50% of the UnTour fee, plus $250 per person per UnTour, and cancellation fees for any transportation passes or rail tickets.
  • If UnTours is notified 2 days or fewer days prior to UnTour start date::
    All trip costs are non-refundable.

Please note, you will only be charged penalties on rail tickets and passes if they have been issued. Also, airline tickets purchased with help from UnTours may be nonrefundable or carry cancellation penalties.

We strongly encourage you to purchase travel protection.

General Terms

Responsibility

These terms govern the relationship between you and Idyll Limited, DBA UnTours. By booking a trip with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms; please be sure to read them carefully and make sure you understand them.

UnTours does not own or operate any entity which provides goods or services for this program, and acts only as the agent for the independent suppliers of travel conveyance, transport, accommodations, or other services. All such persons or entities are independent contractors. As a result, UnTours is not liable for any negligence or willful act of any such person or entity or any third person. In addition and without limitation, UnTours is not responsible for any delays, delayed departure or arrival, missed carrier connections, loss, death, damage or injury to person or property or accident, mechanical defect, failure or negligence of any nature howsoever caused in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services or for any substitution of apartments, hotels or of common carrier equipment, with or without notice, or for any additional expenses occasioned thereby. Dates, program details and tour costs, although given in good faith and based on tariffs, exchange rates, and other information current at the time of printing, are subject to change at or before the time of departure. No revisions of the printed itinerary or its included features are anticipated; however, the right is reserved to make any changes, with or without notice, that might become necessary, with the mutual understanding that any additional expenses will be paid by the individual passenger. Baggage and personal effects are the sole responsibility of the owners at all times. If the entire program is cancelled for any reason, participants shall have no claim other than for a full refund. By forwarding the deposit, the passenger certifies that he/she has no physical, mental, or other condition of disability that would create a hazard for himself/herself or other passengers and accepts the terms of this contract set out herein and in more specific pre-departure passenger information. The airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event, during the time passengers are not on board their conveyances. The passage contract in use, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the company/companies and the passenger and/or purchaser of this trip.

Closures

In the event UnTours is unable to operate your trip on the planned dates, the trip may be rescheduled or refunded; UnTours reserves the right to provide refunds in the form of credit toward future UnTours travel.

Fitness to Travel

The right is retained to decline to accept or to retain any person as a member of this trip who, in the opinion of UnTours, is unfit for travel or whose physical or mental condition may constitute a danger to themselves or to others on the trip, subject only to the requirement that the portion of the total amount paid which corresponds to the unused services and accommodations be refunded. Passengers requiring special assistance, including without limitation those who permanently or periodically use a wheelchair, must be accompanied by someone who is fit and able to assist them, and who will be totally responsible for providing all required assistance.

Pricing

All prices quoted are in USD, per person, do not include air transportation costs, and are subject to change without notice.

Photography

UnTours reserves the right to take photographs or videos during the operation of any trip or part thereof and to use them, whether taken by representatives of UnTours or by other participants, for promotional purposes. By booking an UnTours trip, participants agree to allow their images to be used in such photography; participants who prefer that their images not be used are asked to identify themselves to program staff and the photographer at the commencement of their program.

Internet Access

Not all UnTour apartments include Wi-Fi or other internet access, and in some cases those that do charge guests for usage or excessive usage. While every effort will made to provide reliable internet access, service cannot be guaranteed even when Wi-Fi is included with the apartment. In case of interruption of service, we suggest you bring an ethernet cable and a USB / ethernet adapter if your device has no ethernet slot. There are public Wi-Fi access points all over Europe, and local staff can help you.
