Europe by taking the Eurozine Language Quiz. Here’s how the contest works. Answer the quiz questions correctly and you will
be automatically entered into a prize drawing. First prize is a $100 off your
next Untour; second prize is $50 off your next Untour; and third prize is an adorable
doll made by Little Souls, International, one of the companies the Idyll Development Foundation supports. Click on the link below to submit your answers before November 3, 2005. We will have our drawing for the winners after that date and will contact the

Eurozine Language Quiz
Here is a sample question:
Question: Out of all the languages spoken in Untours’ European destinations, which one
most closely resembles English?
A. Dutch
B. German
C. French
D. Spanish
If you answered 'A' for Dutch you would be right! Although English, Dutch and German share a common origin,
English and Dutch are Low Germanic languages, which differs from Standard German,
a High Germanic language. A significant event in the history of the English language occurred
after the Norman conquest of England in 1066, when the English lexicon was modified
by the large influx of French vocabulary that is still present today.
Even if you don’t speak Dutch, communicating in Holland is simple since almost
