The Westwick Cottage is a hidden gem in the cosmopolitan area of Shepherd's Bush. It is a perfect home for two, with one bedroom, a bathroom, a living and dining area, kitchen, and a small study/home office. The cottage has its own entrance and is accessed from the back porch of the main house, so there is no need to worry about disturbing the owners. If you have a car, there is off-street parking available by arrangement.
The living and dining area is spacious and features a large sofa, dining table with foldaway leaves and 2 chairs, 2 additional folding chairs, a 55-inch wall-mounted TV with cable and streaming channels, and a mini-grand piano which guests are welcome to play. High-speed WIFI is also provided. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary appliances, including a large fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
The bedroom upstairs is peaceful and has a view of the garden area. It has a queen bed, bedside tables with reading lamps, and ample cupboard and storage space. The bathroom has a bath with an over-shower, sink, and toilet. There is also a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom cupboards. A small study/home-office area with a desk and chair is also available.
The cottage is a 5-minute walk to the Shepherd's Bush Underground station, and there are several bus options to take you to nearby areas such as Notting Hill and all over London. The Westfield Shopping Centre, with many popular West End shops, is only a 10-minute walk away. Food shopping options include a Sainsbury's Local convenience store at the end of the road (2-minute walk), a Lidl supermarket (5 minutes away), and a large Waitrose (upscale supermarket) in the Westfield Centre (10-minute walk). The Westfield Centre also has several restaurants, ranging from burgers to fine dining. Within a 5-minute walk of the cottage, there are Vietnamese, Italian, and Lebanese restaurants. The Shepherd's Bush Market, a 109-year-old market with a diverse range of goods, is only 10 minutes away.
