Il Pozzo
Our Il Pozzo apartment is located in the heart of the tiny Etruscan village of Murlo. This apartment has a private patio and garden in the back with an amazing view of the Tuscan hills while, in the front, you are overlooking Murlo’s gorgeous central square. Your hosts at Il Pozzo live just next door and are fluent English speakers.
Murlo is a walled village (check out our earlier post on Murlo here) that is very walkable with parking outside the walls, just a 3 minute walk from the Il Pozzo apartment. The town is famous for its interesting Etruscan museum but most of your shopping, banking and mailing (and pizza eating!) can be done from the small town of Vescovado, a mere half-mile away.
Staying in Murlo will give you easy access to Buonconvento (only a 10-15 minute drive) and Siena (around 30 minutes) while Florence is just a 90-minute drive away.
