Beblenheim, France - Alsace, Home of Chez Bruppacher

Beblenheim, with its flower-bedecked, half-timbered houses, is a tranquil village of 953 inhabitants, known throughout the world for the quality of its wines. Those who have only drunk its delicious wine, though, may not know that Beblenheim is exceptionally well located for exploring the heart of Alsace.

Situated directly on the famous Route des Vins, Beblenheim is close to the walled town of Riquewihr, historic Ribeauvillé, the gracious city of Colmar, countless ancient walled villages and imposing castles. For more relaxing days, close-to-home, easy walks through storied vineyards beckon. Vineyard trails actually connect Beblenheim with most neighboring villages, including Riquewihr and Zellenberg. Beblenheim dates from the tenth century, but the oldest reminder of its past is a fifteenth-century Gothic fountain on the main street.

In spite of its size, Beblenheim has 2 restaurants, a small convenience store, a post office and several wineries. The Hartweg winery is considered one of the best in Alsace and is on one of the main streets in town. Most wineries offer tastings on request. There are ATMs and large supermarkets in nearby Ribeauvillé.

Here's what our guests have to say

★★★★★

My solo two week stay at the Sonneglanz apartment in Beblenheim, Alsace, France was a dream come true. The enchanting view of what I call "a fairy tale vineyard valley" from my terrace and the gracious hosts, Francoise and Robert Brupaacher who saw to any need was superlative! Vivienne Beller, my Alsace UnTour's rep, will always be remembered for her enthusiasm, knowledge, and caring about my comfort.

★★★★★

We were delighted with our Sonnenglanz apartment. We especially liked our location and surroundings because we enjoy walking and could walk to several nearby villages through beautiful vineyards. Our hosts, Francoise and Robert Bruppacher were excellent and most hospitable. We give a hearty endorsement to UnTours, Alsace, Beblenheim, Sonnenglanz and the staff.
