The Nightingale apartments offer a fantastic home base for exploring all of London. It is centered in one of London’s most popular “villages” that is full of local character and charm. The exterior of this historical building, which houses five apartments in total, has a lot of character, with an ornate façade, and dome feature. All apartments were recently renovated.
Nightingale 3 is modern, luxuriously decorated with high quality furniture, and full of light. From the building's 3rd floor landing, you enter the apartment through a private hallway, from which all rooms lead.
The open plan living-dining area includes a couch that can be converted to a sofa-bed and has dining for four. The very well-equipped kitchen has ample work space. There is one bedroom complete with a double bed, bedside reading lamps and built-in wardrobes. The bathroom is off the entrance hall next to the bedroom.
The Nightingale apartments are situated in a residential area with bars, restaurants, shops and green space just outside of the building's front door. Clapham Common is 2-minute stroll away. This is a large, historic, parkland area, with ponds, cafes and a traditional bandstand.
Based in one of London's best known and popular historic "villages", they are professionally managed by a local, family run business, who are available when you require assistance with the apartment (They can also advise on where to find the best places to eat and drink locally). A ten-minute walk in either direction will take you to a greater variety of entertainment, shopping, and services in Clapham and Balham town centers.
The attractions of central London are easily accessible from Clapham South tube station, which is located just across the street. Clapham South station is on the Northern Line. Central London can be reached easily in less than twenty minutes. It’s a 12-minute journey to Victoria Station to see Buckingham Palace, and 18 minutes to Leicester Square where you can see a top West End theater production.

Clapham is one of London's best known and popular historic neighborhoods. Situated in South West London, it offers lots of parks and great transportation links to both central London and tourist attractions outside London. The city center can be reached in as little as 15 minutes.
The area is popular with young affluent families and professionals for its laid-back, friendly, unfussy vibe and open green spaces. Central to this is Clapham Common. This large parkland area, with ponds, cafes and a traditional bandstand (playing concerts in the summer months) is very popular with locals and visitors alike. Even Benjamin Franklin carried out experiments on the pond here.
There are numerous traditional, trendy and quirky pubs, all selling good, local craft beers and great food. There's also a huge variety of restaurants offering cuisine from all around the world. We especially recommend the quaint Clapham Picture House to catch a movie, Venn Street Market every Saturday with its various street food stalls, and a walk across the Common to the Old Town to explore the pubs and restaurants there.
