This is a beautifully restored, very spacious (1100 sq. ft) vacation rental apartment in the heart of Florence. The elevator takes you to the second floor air conditioned apartment which opens into a hallway with a small windowed office with internet connection (no computer) on the left. The parquet floor continues into the open living room, dining room area with comfortable contemporary furniture and dining table and chairs. The attractive, well-equipped kitchen with window is a separate room. There is a twin bedded room. A full bathroom is off of the hallway. The queen bedded room has an ensuite bathroom and faces an internal courtyard. Between the bedrooms is a small laundry room with washer and dryer.

The apartment is situated on a beautiful, ancient Florentine street very close to the Piazza Santa Croce, also a 10 minute walk to both the Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo. All of historic Florence is within walking distance.

Santa Croce, Italy - Florence, Home of Domenico

This is the area immediately to the east of the most touristed and central part of Florence’s historic core. Spreading north of the church of Santa Croce, the neighborhood is a little more residential and features excellent restaurants and theaters, plus cultural sites like the Casa Buonarroti. And the Sant’Ambrogio Market is the locals’ favorite alternative for food shopping, a neighborhood affair of shops and market stalls, indoor and outdoor, selling produce, clothing, cheeses and meats, house wares and prepared foods. The neighborhood is an easy 10 –15 minute stroll into the heart of the historic core but is a little more laid back.

The apartment was lovingly restored by an American owner to American tastes. Like most of our Florence apartments, the Domenico apartment is managed by a local apartment representative with whom you can speak during business hours. Our Florence UnTour staff person is always available by phone if guests have problems or concerns.
