The foundation receives many accolades, both public and private. One accolade this week caught us by surprise. In with her regular loan repayment check, Brenda Davis, the “Iron Woman” of Ironman, Inc., included a donation to the foundation.
Of course, I called her to ask the story behind the gift.
She said that she’s looked forward to paying off her loan and donating to the foundation. It occurred to her, however, that she didn’t have to wait to pay off her loan before donating to our work out of gratitude for what the foundation has done for her. I can’t tell you just how uplifted Hal and I have been from this act of kindness.
