I came across TravelNerd last week by way of my favorite travel tech website, Tnooz. As Tnooz stated, “TravelNerd is a much needed application for travelers.” And, unlike my last post, you don’t need a smartphone to use it (although you could download the iPhone app).

So, how does TravelNerd make airports easier to manage?

It’s pretty straightforward, actually. TravelNerd combines detailed airport maps, information about various ground transportation modes and airport parking options. Included in all this is a list of restaurants, stores, lounges and amenities at each airport so you’ll know what you’re in for before you get there.

So, what’s the point?

Here’s a for instance: knowing that there’s a Dunkin’ Donuts in Philadelphia Airport’s Terminal A West, as you’re on your way to visit us in Media, PA, may save you $10 on that extra in-flight Ginger Ale.

Now, doesn’t that sound refreshing?

So, what tools do you use to make your trip planning easier to manage? Let us know in the comments below.
