Jonathan Coleman

I grew up in small-town, middle America, in a family that didn’t travel much. I had never been on an airplane or left the country until my early twenties. Somehow, I have managed to live and work around the world, and now lead a travel company and a foundation that uses the profits to empower entrepreneurs around the globe. Never in my wildest dreams did I anticipate this life journey! I have lived in Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East, but currently reside with my wife and two small kids in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York.

Prior to joining the UnTours team, I received an MBA in International Economic Development and spent some years at the helm of ASSETS, an organization that helps launch and grow social enterprises and diversely-owned businesses. Their mission and values mirrors those of the UnTours Foundation, helping to create jobs, boosting sustainability, and working toward economic inclusion. During that time, I also launched my own travel company that offered immersive, small group experiences.

These days, when I am not up to my elbows in spreadsheets or on Zoom meetings, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters and wife on our 10 hilly acres of land in Upstate NY. I also like to play soccer when I can. Of course, I LOVE to travel and am eager to explore more of the world and meet some amazing people along the way.
