Amici

The Amici apartment is a spacious, bright and comfortable 1-bedroom apartment centrally located in the San Palo neighborhood.in the historic center of Venice. Amici is conveniently located near shopping, bars and restaurants, and a 5-minute walk to the Rialto Bridge. Transport options are close by, with the San Toma Vaporetto stop just a 2-minute walk from the apartment, and 15 minutes on foot to the train and bus stations.

The apartment is located on the third floor (2 flights up) and features 1 double bedroom, sleeping for a 3rd person in the spacious living room, a full eat-in kitchen with a gas stovetop (no oven), microwave, electric kettle, toaster and coffee-maker. The bathroom has a large shower (no tub) and a window. Other amenities include: air conditioning, Internet access, tv and stereo, a hair-dryer and iron.

The neighborhood is full of great shops and restaurants, and all of Venice's sites are within walking distance, including the Rialto Bridge, the Accademia and Piazza San Marco.

The San Polo and Santa Croce districts are literally in the middle of the city, an easy walk to different sights in surrounding areas. San Polo sights include the art-filled churches of the Frari and San Rocco, the Ca’ Pesaro Modern Art Museum. There are seveal lively squares including the café-lined Campo San Giacomo dell’Orio, and Campo San Polo, the second largest square in Venice. The nearby university and good restaurants add life to the neighborhood. The Rialto Bridge and its adjoining markets are close by. The train station is an easy walk to the north and Piazza San Marco is a 15- to 25-minute walk.

Venice is best known for Piazza San Marco, ringed with spectacular museums and St. Mark’s Basilica. But there’s much to see beyond the lure of San Marco, such as the art treasures of the Accademia Museum and the grandeur of the Grand Canal. The city offers endless museums and historic churches to explore, lovely architecture, artistic masterpieces and hidden beauty around every corner. There’s fascinating people-watching and lively neighborhood life that a 2-week stay will allow you to enjoy. The nearby Lido offers grand beaches, and the lagoon islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello offer fascinating diversions.

Outside Venice, easy day trips by rail include Padua, Vicenza, Treviso, Verona and Bologna.
