Andalusia Food & Wine
A Culinary Adventure in Southern SpainExperience Andalusian food and wine like a local
In Spain, food is more than a meal. It’s around the table that stories are shared, friendships are forged, and traditions are passed down. The culinary landscape of Spain is as diverse as its history. Each region brings its own unique flavors to the table, with Andalusia being no exception.
In the 1970s, the kitchens of Catalonia and the Basque Country ignited a culinary revolution, blending the old with the new and giving rise to nouvelle cuisine – a more refined and curated way of cooking. This innovation didn’t erase tradition; it enriched it, creating a culinary tapestry that’s both familiar and surprising. Today, you’ll find that Spain offers an extraordinary variety—from casual, authentic tapas to exquisite dishes in world-renowned restaurants.
Andalusia, with its centuries of Arab, Jewish, and Christian influences, presents a particularly unique flavor palette. Here, traditional dishes are infused with spices and techniques from across cultures, resulting in a culinary experience like no other. Each dish tells a story of cultures intertwining over centuries.
On this seven-day tour, your UnGuide will walk you through the history of Andalusian cuisine, offering the insights and connections that only a true insider can, but you’ll also have the time to explore iconic landmarks and take in the regions beautiful scenery. This combination makes for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
