Director of Operations

I am from a small town in Costa Rica. Having grown up in a country as small as Costa Rica, I was always curious to discover other parts of the world and marveled at how big and fascinating a place it can be. I’ve had the opportunity to travel to many countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and America which has opened my heart and mind in ways that I can’t even express. All that I know is that I want to share all the adventures and experiences I’ve had in life with people that have the same passion. What better way to do this than working in travel and tourism?

I have been working in international tourism for the last 18 years. I love to help people make their dreams come true. I first became immersed in this fascinating world with a Costa Rican Travel Agency in the groups and incentives department. Not only did I learn a great deal about cruises, large group management and special interest groups (birdwatchers), but I also met some of my best friends in the industry and realized the true value that a professional can bring to someone’s experience.

Before joining UnTours I worked for a Canadian company for over 10 years, one of the largest small-group adventure company in the world. It was an amazing opportunity full of incredible learning experiences where I had the chance to meet people from all different walks of life.

I think that travel has the ability to transform an individual into a more complete person, allowing for incredible moments of awe and self-awareness while journeying in new surroundings. It inspires feelings of gratitude while connecting you to the greater purpose for which UnTours and its Foundation exist. I am a strong believer that we make the world a better place through our sustainable type of travel; slow travel and the UnTours Foundation.

I am happy to have the opportunity, together with my colleagues, to do all the magic that happens behind the scenes, making sure that all the thoughts, expectations and considerations of the UnTourists are met so that they can have a trip of a lifetime.
