Originally from San José, Costa Rica, Carla brings over 15 years of experience in creating memorable experiences through event management and commercial operations. Her passion for helping businesses grow is matched only by her love for the natural beauty of her homeland, especially its stunning beaches and sunsets. Carla describes herself as "a very spontaneous person who enjoys life, smiles all the time, loves her family and is extremely happy on the beach."

Since joining the UnTours family in 2024, Carla has been dedicated to creating meaningful travel experiences that leave a lasting, positive impact. With an MBA in Operations and Sustainable Development, she combines her business acumen with a deep understanding of how transformative travel can be. "One of my personal goals every time I receive an 'UnTourist' is that they will return home with memories from the trip that will last forever," she shares.

What sets Carla's approach apart is her desire to show travelers the local perspective. "I like to take people to the places that locals go, and most of the time they are different from the ones offered to the tourists," she explains. Her advice to visitors? "Just enjoy the Pura Vida lifestyle in every corner of the country, and it is a must to try our 'Gallo Pinto'!" She encourages UnTourists to "make tortillas, try Gallo Pinto, go to the hidden beaches, go to the local little restaurants, try the taste of the real local food and interact with the locals."
