Caterina

Originally from Avezzano, a small mountain town in Abruzzo, Caterina has called Perugia home since moving there for college. She describes herself as "very sensitive to landscapes," explaining, "I love the sea and the mountains, but hills are the best setting for me to live in"—making Umbria's rolling countryside her perfect backdrop. Since 2009, Caterina has been helping UnTourists discover the hidden treasures of this less-traveled Italian region. What she appreciates most about the UnTours approach is "the freedom of travelling independently, choosing destinations day by day." When asked about her favorite highlight from her destination, she points to the Etruscan acropolis of Perugia, where ancient history reveals itself in layers beneath the medieval city.
