Nafplio UnGuide - Greece

A native of Nafplio, Greece, Christos has been collaborating with UnTours since 2005, bringing his dedication and passion for tourism to each visitor experience. He describes himself simply as "a hardworking person that enjoy his work," approaching his role with humility and a genuine desire to share his homeland with travelers.

With a deep-rooted understanding of hospitality, customer service, and cultural sensitivity, Christos takes pride in creating memorable experiences for every guest. "Working with UnTours helped us to let more and more people know about our area, which has many beautiful places to visit and see," he explains. His top highlights include Palamidi Castle, Bourtzi Fortress, Epidaurus theater, and Mycenaeβ€”iconic sites that showcase the region's rich history and breathtaking beauty.

Beyond the typical tourist attractions, Christos recommends experiencing "a lot of small festivals that happen around the area. Example artichoke festival, tangerine festival as well, as in the whole summer there are a lot of festivals-feasts in every village around Greece with live music starting from 10:00 pm and lasting until the morning hours, always full of people, traditional music and dances." Among the notable annual events is the Nafplio Marathon, "where there are races ranging from a full marathon (42.195 km) to a 1 km children's run," and the Nafplio Yacht Show in May, when "Smaller & Bigger Yachts from all over the world park in the port of Nafplio" for a week of special activities. When asked what he wishes more people knew about his city, Christos's answer is beautifully simple: "How peaceful and safe is the living here."
