UnTours brings together two things that have shaped me most: social impact and meaningful travel.
I grew up in Colorado and feel most at home when walking over mountain trails, a pack strapped to my back. Early on, though, I developed a strong case of wanderlust, which quickly led to a full passport and both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Latin American Studies.
Eager to have a positive impact on the world, I went into the social impact field, first as a nonprofit fundraiser and then as a consultant, where I had the opportunity to work with organizations like the Gates Foundation, Equal Justice Initiative, and the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation. I then spent eight years with a boutique tour operator, Iconic Adventures, where I did everything from driving a sag wagon over the Alps to overseeing the companyβs four-fold expansion after Covid. While there, I helped establish and scale a donor travel business unit β working with conservation nonprofits to showcase the impact of their work.
I am thrilled to now be part of the UnTours team, where I work with a dedicated group of professionals helping others engage deeply with the world while fostering positive change.
When not working β or hiking or traveling β you can find me in Chicago where I live with my family.
