Meet Jon, your passionate UnGuide for the Basque Country UnTour. Though trained as a computer science engineer, Jon followed his heart more than a decade ago and stepped into the world of travel. He began his journey as a tour leader in Central America, where he discovered the joy of connecting people with places in meaningful ways. After several years abroad, he returned to his hometown of Bilbao with a renewed appreciation for the rich culture, history, and natural beauty of the Basque region.

Since 2022, Jon has served as the Product Director at UnTours, helping shape unforgettable travel experiences across Europe. In 2025, he proudly added the role of UnGuide for the Basque Country to his work—bringing both local expertise and a traveler’s perspective to every itinerary. Whether you're sampling pintxos in a lively plaza or wandering through fisherman's villages, Jon’s love for his homeland will help you see the Basque Country through the eyes of someone who truly treasures it.
