Mandy
Mandy is a writer, photographer, and tourism marketing specialist who calls the Richmond borough of London home. Raised in Seattle by a Chilean mother and British father, travel was woven into her life from the start. She spent many childhood summers in the UK, and what was once a home-away-from-home became her permanent residence in 2014.
Drawn to both nature and city life, she finds Richmond to be the perfect blend of the two. Although she has explored many far-flung destinations, some of her best days are spent discovering what’s right around her. Richmond still surprises her with its riverside paths, Tudor history, narrow lanes full of character, and the leafy deer parks that make this corner of London feel wonderfully wild.
She’s passionate about helping travelers connect more meaningfully with the places they visit, so becoming an UnGuide felt like a natural extension of her love for slow, thoughtful travel. Mandy enjoys helping visitors experience Richmond the way locals do: through unhurried walks, genuine conversations, and the small details that make this area so special.
Whether you’re interested in hidden trails, historic manor houses, or the best spot for a sunset over the Thames, Mandy is excited to share the Richmond she knows and loves.
