Sample Wine and Food Itinerary

Here are the activities that are included in the Tuscany Wine and Food UnTour. This is a sample itinerary.

Wednesday: Arrival in Tuscany, time to settle in and explore.

Thursday: UnTours orientation session, followed by a local event and lunch, then a free afternoon.

Friday: Truffle hunt and tasting.
Go on a hunt for truffles (weather permitting), and then enjoy the fruits of your labor (or someone else's if the weather doesn't permit).

Saturday: A cooking lesson with wine tasting.
You will gather at a typical Tuscan house in the countryside where you will work together with the cook to prepare a five-course Tuscan lunch that you will all share. Also a full wine tasting menu will accompany each of the courses.

Sunday: Time to explore on your own.

Monday: A winery tour and tasting.
This full-day tour will include visits to 3 intimate wineries, all producing the famed Brunello di Montalcino as well as Rosso di Montalcino and other local red wines. A stop for lunch in a typical Tuscan trattoria is also included.

Tuesday: Time to explore on your own.

Wednesday: Depart for home, or relax and stay another week.
