La Cour 4

Tucked into the storybook village of Saint-Hippolyte, La Cour 3 is a cozy and welcoming home-away-from-home, part of a cluster of other 4 charming apartments hosted by our longtime friend Michel. Guests love both his warm hospitality and the quiet comfort this apartment provides, making it a perfect base for exploring Alsace’s vineyards, villages, and rolling hills. From your doorstep, you can stroll through Saint-Hippolyte’s winding lanes, soak in the village atmosphere, and easily set out by car to discover the region’s treasures along the famous wine route.

The apartment itself is a ground-floor duplex, thoughtfully furnished for a relaxed stay. The main level includes a bright living space with a fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge area, ideal for a cozy night in after a day of exploring. Upstairs, you’ll find a restful bedroom and modern bathroom, complete with everything you need. A private terrace at the entrance adds to its charm, giving you a spot to sip a glass of local wine and enjoy the village pace of life.

At the foot of the Vosges Mountains and castle Haut-Koenigsbourg lies this sleepy old village the core of which is 3 parallel streets cut by side streets and alleys between half-timbered houses. The northern most and perhaps quietest of our wine route villages, St. Hippolyte is still completely surrounded by its wall. Inside the wall, you will be charmed by the double square of its town hall and 14th century gothic church and flower decked fountain dating from 1555. This is the 2nd place where Alsatian red wine originates---Rouge de Saint Hippolyte (a pinot noir) and an excellent place to sample it. A nice break from the well worn tourist path would be a meal at the typically Alsatian restaurant Hupsa Pfannala. It’s building has been in use since 1506. There is a wonderful bakery on the square and other restaurants in town.
