Stay in Barcelona
This roof-top apartment is located on one of Barcelona's major avenues, the Passeig de Gracia, with countless designer boutiques and the best eateries in the city. Atop a newly renovated building, it offers spectacular close-up views of Antoni Gaudi's Casa Batlló and of the passersby below.
The apartment itself is spacious for being in the center of the city at 1,023 square feet, and it is tastefully decorated with stylish photographs and modern furniture. Its open living and dining area have a dramatic view across the Passeig de Gracia, with its floor-to-ceiling glass doors onto the balcony. The dining table can seat up to six people, and there are two large, comfortable couches (one that can be converted into a sofa bed) in the living room opposite the TV. The outdoor terrace is perfect for reading the morning paper or sipping a glass of wine after a long day of sightseeing. The kitchen has plenty of counter and storage space and all of the modern appliances including an oven, microwave, dishwasher, Italian coffee maker and kettle. Central air conditioning and heating in the apartment, too.
The master bedroom has a double bed, two wardrobes, and a window overlooking the interior side of the building. The second bedroom has one twin bed, a bed-side reading lamp and one wardrobe. Guests share one bathroom with a shower stall.
The Batlló A and B are located in the same recently-renovated building. They offer excellent access to city sights by foot and by transit.

L'Eixample, Spain - Barcelona, Home of Battló A
Known as Barcelona's "new town," the Eixample (literally "expansion" in Catalan) neighborhood was built in the late 19th Century after the demolition of Barcelona's old city walls. The area, famous for its wide boulevards and egalitarian design, was borne of the idealism of Catalan engineer Ildefons Cerdà, who imagined a city where green space, mobility and natural lighting combated the ills of congestion and led to a more democratic city environment.
Today, L'Eixample remains an important example of urban planning, but has attracted tourists because of the many modernist buildings which grace its streets. Home to the Quadrat d'Or (Golden Triangle), La Pedrera, the Manzana de la Discordia and Sagrada Familia among many other famous modernist buildings, the neighborhood's main boulevard, the Passeig de Gràcia, is also the top shopping destination in the city. Unlike the old city below it, L'Eixample is surprisingly free of tourists and makes an ideal home base for UnTourists who can explore El Barri Gotic, El Raval, La Ribeira and the bohemian Gracia by foot from their neighborhood. L'Eixample also has excellent cafes and restaurants lining its streets.

Here's what our guests have to say
Harlan Miller
The most striking thing about this excellent apartment is the view from the balcony of Casa Batllo and its neighbors directly across the street. As the day progresses and the light changes more and more detail emerges and the building continues to transform itself.
