It’s hard to imagine a more central location in Kenmare than Packie’s Corner. Located in downtown Kenmare, all of the village’s pubs, restaurants, and shops are within an easy stroll.
The two-story townhouse is tucked away on a quiet side street. There are a few steps down from street level into the main level of the house, which is an open plan kitchen, dining, and living room. The kitchen corner has beautiful stainless steel appliances and seating for four. The lounge area has a comfortable leather sofa and a TV with local channels. The whole house has Wi-Fi.
Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a single bedroom, both with ample storage space and large windows. The fresh modern bathroom has a shower stall and pedestal sink. There is shared parking space in front of the house. When it is not available, parking is available in a nearby public lot.

Tucked into the scenic southwest corner of Ireland, Kenmare is a welcoming and convenient home base. The name Kenmare means ‘little nest’ in Gaelic, which perfectly describes the atmosphere of this charming town. The perfect departure point for the Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park, Kenmare also puts the Beara and Dingle Peninsulas within reach. Home to the19th century Holy Cross Church and one of the most impressive ancient stone circles in the region, Kenmare has a rich history. Nearby Molly Gallivan’s Cottage and Traditional Farm is a 200-year-old cottage that shows how the people of Kenmare lived before modern technology.
Take a cruise in Kenmare Bay or try local horseback riding. Explore the weekly outdoor market or take in live traditional music in a cozy local pub. Kenmare is known for its good eats and great golf courses. Maureen, who also manages the Bay View, will go out of her way to make your stay in Packie's Corner a memorable one. She has much experience in hospitality running a B&B outside of town, where she and her husband also live. He has a fish business and Maureen also dabbles in interior decorating.

This is my second stay at Packie's Corner townhouse in Kenmare, Ireland. I would go back again in a heartbeat.

The central location was great. We enjoyed being right in town. The kitchen was well stocked, very functional, and the appliances worked well. The bathroom was a bit small but with a nice shower.

It was really so much nicer than we had hoped. Because we like to cook, we were especially appreciative of a kitchen with all the necessary utensils and cookware. The washer/dryer was also a godsend for us since we had been travelling for 10 days prior to arriving in Ireland.

Positives: Excellent location, very clean, all the conveniences one could want, generous amount and variety of groceries there on our arrival. One tiny negative: we weren't thrilled with the mattress (but still managed to sleep pretty well every night!)

Packies Corner was very well located. We wanted to stay in town and this was a perfect location. It was clean, well appointed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I had the larger of the two bedrooms and it was well ventilated with a large window. The second bedroom was small with only a skylight window - which made it dark.

The apt. was terrific. It was right in town so you could walk everywhere. The furnishings were up to date and clean. We loved the fact that we could wash while we were there. We finally figured out the dryer. :-)

The apartment, overall, was great! For being so close to a busy street it was surprisingly quiet and very convenient to shops and restaurants. If I could change one thing, and really only one thing, it would be the mattresses on the beds, which were not very comfortable. Otherwise, it was great!
