Lambeth House

The Lambeth Cottage was built at the end of the 19th Century. It was originally used to house coaches, but has now been converted into comfortable, self contained, accommodation.

Total space is some 680 sq ft. There are two bedrooms (sleeping a total of 5 guests) each with its own bathroom, and a kitchen.

The Balham tube/metro station is a 10 minute walk away. It’s a 30 minute train ride to the center of London with the tube, or 20 minute by train from the Balham station.

Balham is South London at its most effortlessly appealing — leafy, lively and distinctly local. Set between Clapham and Tooting, it has a relaxed, village-like character with a distinctly London edge: handsome Victorian terraces, tree-lined streets, independent cafés, lively pubs and a steady hum of neighbourhood life.

It’s the kind of place that feels established without feeling stuffy. Mornings begin with coffee and a walk to the station, afternoons spill into cafés and parks, and evenings bring a convivial mix of restaurants, wine bars and old-school pubs. It has long attracted young professionals, couples and families looking for a little more space and greenery without giving up the energy of London.
