3-bedroom cottage with patio and garden

Stay in County Kerry

The Thomas is one of three beautiful apartments on the former stable grounds of an active dairy farm. The apartments combine charming traditional style with modern conveniences and thoughtful details. Padraig, along with Thomas, share the main building.

The Thomas overlooks the common courtyard. One enters into the large open living room that offers plush leather couches, a fireplace, and a TV with CNN. The attached kitchen area has all of the tools necessary to create a delightful Irish meal, including a dishwasher, 4-burner electric stove, oven, and microwave. One bedroom is off of the kitchen on the ground floor, while the other two bedrooms are upstairs. All bedrooms have en suite bathrooms.

Each cottage has its own private patio and garden area with seating so you can enjoy eating outside. The common front garden includes a yard and play area for children, along with a hen house, where guests can collect fresh eggs in the morning. Farm operations are separate from the guest quarters, but the farm's friendly hosts, Anne and Patrick, are willing to show guests their dairy operations on request. Their warm hospitality adds much to the experience of staying on the farm.

The three cottages, with a total of eight bedrooms, are perfect for a large group wanting to explore the jewels of Ireland's southwest together.

Kenmare, Ireland - County Kerry, Home of Thomas

Tucked into the scenic southwest corner of Ireland, Kenmare is a welcoming and convenient home base. The name Kenmare means ‘little nest’ in Gaelic, which perfectly describes the atmosphere of this charming town. The perfect departure point for the Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park, Kenmare also puts the Beara and Dingle Peninsulas within reach. Home to the19th century Holy Cross Church and one of the most impressive ancient stone circles in the region, Kenmare has a rich history. Nearby Molly Gallivan’s Cottage and Traditional Farm is a 200-year-old cottage that shows how the people of Kenmare lived before modern technology.

Take a cruise in Kenmare Bay or try local horseback riding. Explore the weekly outdoor market or take in live traditional music in a cozy local pub. Kenmare is known for its good eats and great golf courses. Lined with colorful houses and charming shops, Kenmare is a true Irish village with all of the amenities one could need and easy access to the sea.

Anne has been in the tourism business since 1992. She and her husband Patrick opened their holiday cottages in August 2007. They, along with their four children, live on site, and greet all guests with warmth and hospitality. Their dairy farm supplies milk to a co-op that is used in the production of Cadbury chocolate, among other things.
